Comments:

The cabinet was re-finished by me in 1997 using the best clear and toning lacquers. Multiple coats were used with proper sanding between coats. Preparation included using grain filler prior to lacquer. There are no repairs to the cabinet or veneer which is completely tight. The result is a flawless cabinet that is absolutely beautiful and will be the proud centerpiece of any collection.

Dial graphics on all shutters are clean and clear. The shutters operate smoothly as does the motor tuning which has a newer old stock Zenith belt. The chassis was completely restored including capacitors, resistors, filters etc. in 1996. All mechanics were cleaned and lubricated. The restoration was done by the best recognized expert in the Portland Vancouver area , The green tuning eye was new old stock and was installed in 2004. It is bright and sensitive. This is truly one of if not the nicest 9 tube Waltons anywhere. As a bonus along with the radio is a framed ready to hang 1979 issue of Peoples magazine featuring the Walton family on the cover holding the radio model that made this a famous collector’s item in the first place. It also showing pictures from the article inside the magazine. As with all antique electronics it is sold as is.

*Confirmed by white cabinet stamp and lable on bottom of cabinet

***Warning: There are a number of Zenith "Walton" 9S232 and 12S232 forgeries on the
market. If you are planning to acquiring a REAL/CORRECT "Walton", extra precautions
needs to be taken to insure that you are buying an authentic radio.***
